Before the New Year, Beef Prices Stagnate at Rp 120,000 / Kg

Indo Kanal. The turn of the year is just a few days away. The price of beef is still stagnant at Rp 120,000 per kilogram (kg).

One of the traders at Kramat Jati East Jakarta Market, Hen, said that the price of beef has not changed since the last two years. Included on religious holidays.

"It's been two years, the price is Rp. 120,000 per kg. It never changes, including during the holidays, especially the new year," he said in his stall, Jakarta, Wednesday (12/26/2018).

Furthermore, he revealed that sales at the end of the year also did not increase compared to previous years. In fact, the number of sales is like a normal day.

"Normal sales. It's not like a big day like that, as usual," he said.

Hen explained that the high price of meat was due to the supply of brood stock still imported from Australia.

"The price is expensive because this is an Australian cow, only cut here," he explained.

Another trader, Yudi also revealed something similar. There is no increase or decrease in the price of beef sold.

"It's still Rp. 120,000 per kg of price. Indeed, the end of the year is normal, it doesn't go up and it doesn't go down," he closed.
