Police Arrest 13 Members of CBOs Attacking Brimob Personnel in Depok

Jurnal Kini. The Depok Police Team secured 13 members of the community organization allegedly beating members of the Mobile Brigade, Iptu Ishak. The alleged perpetrators immediately underwent an intensive examination.

"It has been secured by 13 people and is being investigated," said Head of the Depok Police Public Relations Sub-Section, AKP Firdaus, when asked for confirmation on Wednesday (12/26/2018).

Firdaus has not explained the details regarding the chronology of the arrests. The roles of the perpetrators have also not been revealed.

Information about the beating was initially discovered after Ipda Ishak called the KorBrimob Intel Unit on Tuesday (25/12) at 17.00 WIB. Ishak claimed to have been beaten by several people wearing mass organization clothes near Pos Lantas, Jalan Juanda, Depok.

"Sat intel members got a call from Victim Ipda Ishak that the victim had been mistreated or beaten by some people in the uniforms of the Banten BPPKB Community Organization who arranged the Jalan Juanda round with a Banten tsunami aid cardboard," said the Jakarta Police Public Relations Chief Argo Yuwono in his statement.

Receiving this information, a check-up was carried out at the scene and at the same time coordinated with the Sukmajaya Sector Police. From the results of checking, the team got information that indeed there had been allegations of beating against Ipda Ishak by members of the organization. A number of mass organization members gathered at the location to request donations for victims of the Sunda Strait tsunami.

The attack was also allegedly triggered by the attitude of members of the mass organization that Ipda Ishak was not reminded of. Community members raised funds for victims of the Sunda Strait tsunami on the road but caused congestion. For this incident, the Sukmajaya police station summoned the leaders of the organization. This case is still under police investigation.
